3 Films about the manoeuvring of an old sailing vessel for use in educational context onboard the sailing seafarer schools in Denmark. It took a couple of attempts to master landing and taking off from a small ship 5 miles off the shore, in order to get close enough to the ship to make drone footage possible, but in the end it gave us som fantastic footage and a story about old craftsmanship that for many is totally forgotten since it was scarcely described in old books with the last description crafted around the year 1900. Now it is visual, appealing, entertaining and available to everyone in a modern format, sparking interest in seafarers, non seafarers and even children from 6-10 seems to find the explanations of how ships actually work, very compelling and very interesting. We feel we have revived a little but of our common cultural history by creating and documenting this rare craft.

The Canadian produced series "Chapelwaite" bought footage from Sprint Film's extensive archive of sailing ship drone footage.

Canadian TV series producer Take 5 productions contacted us in the fall of 2020 regarding drone footage of a classic sailing vessel. After 4 months looking at the archive, they returned. They wanted to use footage of the Danish trining vessel Georg Stage, castet as a whaler out the coast of Nova Scotia on the east coast of the United States, in the time around 1850.- We sure didn't see that coming. but we celebrated the premiere in our home office and we are very happy and pleased to be a part of a huge production like this one!

Canadiske Take 5 Productions kontaktede os i efteråret 2020 angående droneoptagelser af et sejlskib.
